From Myth to Reality 10/27/10

Lasts nights game between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics had the atmosphere of a playoff game, tough athletes, tough shots, great defense, and a lot of drama late in the game. Team Trinity entered one of the hollowed grounds of basketball as the enemies and the King was booed every time he touched the ball and towards the end of the wild game there was even chants of OVERRATED from the faithful Boston crowd. The idea of team Trinity coming together for the first time went from being a myth to being a reality but the better team won last night. Make no mistake about it the Boston Celtics are the best team in the NBA and no other team was going to walk onto that court last night and defeat them. With that being said they may not finish with the best record for this season but they are the team to beat.  Below are some truths from last night:

Lebron James is the real deal but he wasn’t the closer that we needed last night.
The Celtics defense is ridiculous!

It will take about a month for Dwyane Wade to get back into game shape.

Ray Allen hit the biggest shots of the night to stop every single Heat run.

Chris Bosh looked out of sorts and wasn’t as aggressive in the post as we needed him to be.

The Heat made great adjustments at halftime to get back into the game, one being Dwyane Wade and Lebron James taking turns running the point.

Kevin Garnett’s shot selection last night was tremendous.

One Word……Rondo!

The Miami Heat may have to consider adding a post presence.

There’s no panic in South Beach it was just the first game and I suspect that the Sixers are going to catch hell from the Heat tonight.
