He's still Dirk Nowitzki.....
After Trailing for the entire second half, Dirty Dirk Nowitzki drained a cold blooded three to tie the game at 96 all. It was after Damian Lillard missed the last second go ahead shot that propelled the Dallas Mavericks to outscore the Portland Trail Blazers in overtime 15-5 and come through with a 111-101 victory.
Dallas native LaMarcus Aldridge put on his usual clinic when he visits his home town, shooting 50% from the field and dropping a 25 point, 14 rebound stat line. Dirk, Chandler Parsons, and Monta Ellis ended with 20+ each, and CP25 took over in the waning minutes to come through when the Mavs needed him the most. The Mavericks have won three of four without G Rajon Rondo, including the game when he was injured. Mavs coach Rick Carlisle stated that this was a game they had to get due to the 22-point lead his team gave up at the hands of Steph Curry and company this past Wednesday.
